Policy

SHIPPING


Shipping charges are made by shipping carriers. OpusGlassVases.com charges our customers however shipping company is charging us. We will quote and choose between a variety of shipping carriers to find the best rate and most reliable services for our customers. Our customer can choose to use their own carrier to use if they would like. However, if any damages or lost in package, customers will be responsible in contacting their carrier agent and filing claims. Also customer will need to fill out a waiver to have us to ship with your carrier. (Click here to download the waiver)

 

SHIPPING BY FEDEX:


For shipment made via Fedex - it goes through terminal by terminal, so the damage rate of shipping by Fedex is higher. Even when we package our products in the best possible manner that is in our capability to prevent any damages from tossing or crushing, there could still be damages to the products. If any damages are found upon receiving the item, please contact us as soon as possible. By email: sales@OpusGlassVases.com, or call us (626)639-7648. Any damages reported after 14 days of receipt of item will be automatically denied, for the reason Fedex only allow us short period of time in filing claim. Any claims filed against Fedex after this period of time will be denied. It is our customers duty to report any damage within the 14 days period.

 

SHIPPING BY TRUCKING COMPANY:


For shipment made via Trucking company - IMPORTANT: Most shipment with trucking company are to be shipped to Commercial Address (business building, warehouse, plaza, shop), they are cheaper, and safer. Few places such as home business, church, school, resident and military installations, does not consider commercial that requires delivery surcharge of $50. If you provide false information, and trucking company discovers the ship to is not a commercial address. They will surcharge us for the amount, which then, we'll have to charge that to you. Receiving through trucking company, will require someone there at the point of delivery. It is normally safer going with trucking company in shipping. We palletize the shipment on a wooden skit, and it will arrive to you in the same manner. When you unload the pallet, please shake the boxes a little, if you hear any crackling or shattered glass sound, means there are broken items. If there are any damages discovered upon receipt of item, please notate it on the bill of lading before you signing it. If you do sign the bill as it is, it is a binding contract from the trucking company that stands in the court of law that you accept the item in the condition and manner as you received it. Be sure you note it on the bill before you accept, even if you see a slight problem or feel a little uncomfortable of how the driver is handling the shipments, because it will help you in winning the claim case against trucking company in the case of damages. If there are any damages, please note it, and call our office or email us as soon as possible. We will assist you in resolving the issues in the best manner.

 

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING:


International Purchases (Canada & Mexico): It is customer's responsibility on any custom's and duty issues. Customer must know about their own country's customs and regulations. Any fees and charges by their country's custom will be customer's responsibility. Customer will have to pay for custome clearance, and duty fees. Any bills of outstanding custom and duty fees that are unpaid for will be charged to your card on file with additional $25 processing fee.

 

SHIPPING TIME:


Please allow us 1-2 days to process the order depending on the cut off time. Rush orders can be processed and shipped the same day for a small fee, and the order has to be placed before 12pm PST. Shipping time depends on the carriers that we use. Fedex ground and trucking companies generally uses approx. 5-6 business days to reach across the country. However the time may vary a little if it is not guaranteed shipping, in cases of snow storm, forest fire, road closure, etc. Guaranteed service can be provided by trucking company with a surcharge. It insures that they will deliver the shipment absolutely on the delivery date that they have promised. Any shipment after leaving our warehouse, the shipping time is and procedure is up to the shipping carriers. Best way of finding out what/where/when the shipment is to call the trucking company with the tracking number you have been provided by us through invoice.

 

CANCELLATION:


To cancel on an order placed, please notify us via email within 12-hours, or before 8 am pacific time next day, excluding weekends and holidays. If an orders is canceled after 24 hours. cancel will applied a charges of 15% of total invoice on processing fee, and $10 packaging fee. If cancellation is made after the item is shipped, shipping & handling charges is not refundable Please verify of all orders before submitting.

 

RETURNS:


All returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee, and all non-product-related fees (shipping, handling, return shipping fees); such fees are NON-REFUNDABLE. Please notify us before returning any items. Any items returned without authorization obtained from our staff will be rejected. So be sure to write your Invoice number number big and visible on the box when you are returning it.

 

DAMAGES & CLAIMS:


If the item you received are damaged or incorrect. Please follow the following procedure.

  1. Do not discard the broken items and the packaging materials right away, shipping company may need to pick them up for inspection, items are to be kept for up to 14 days before discarding.

  2. Please take a picture of the broken item and its packaging, please do not remove broken glass out of the box unless you feel it is safe to do so. You can open the lid of the box a little, and take a vertical picture from top down, and that should be good enough. If you do not have a digital camera, please just write a brief description of the damages that you see. It is because we will be submitting all these documents with the claim paper work when filing claims with shipping carriers.

  3. Contact us by email at sales@OpusGlassVases.com. Email or fax us all corresponding materials. Upon acceptance of your claim, we will credit you back. There will be no replacement for damages items, unless under special circumstances. We do not accept return items that are opened and used more than 15 days after delivery. We do not pay for shipping costs and return shipping costs other than our error (incorrect item shipped to you)
